After creating the toile and solving the problems i was ready to make the final shorts, i did this using denim and floral printed crimplene. The finished shorts look like this:
I am pleased with the outcome. I think that one of the reasons the shorts worked quite well was because of the amount of time spent on the toile, so the shorts were more simple to make as i had already practised.

Toile of the shorts.
Before i could create the shorts i had to make the toile to find any problems and solve them before the final piece was made. the problem i cam across was that the shorts were too big and needed to be more fitted, so they were taken in at the sides and they were not as short as the shorts in my original designs, so i tuned them up at the hem.

Bob Dylan played Cafe Wha? in 1964, which was his first real gig. Cafe Wha? is now a world wide tourist attraction.

i am very pleased with the toile, and will start on the final piece shortly, i have decided to use denim as the main material and crimplene, as these fabrics were commonly used in the 1970s

1960s Music
The Rolling Stones was a prominent band of the 1960s, inspiring many bands and genres in todays music. They were influenced by American soul music, particularly Artists such as Muddy Waters.

Bob Dylan was also a very inspirational musician in the 1960s, and was called by some 'the voice of a generation' His music had lyrics which spoke to a lot of people, however he claims he just wrote music for the music, not for the meaning.
